Vehicle Inspections
TBA Services Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tasmanian Bus Association Limited (TBA). TBA Services was formed in 2007 and has been the major player in passenger vehicle inspections throughout Tasmania. By supporting TBA Services Pty Ltd, assists in the advancement and growth of he TBA.
TBA Services Pty Ltd is a licensed passenger vehicle inspection facility, committed to passenger vehicle safety.
By being solely a vehicle inspection company, it therefore eliminates the necessity to specify unnecessary work on vehicles.
TBA Services Pty Ltd has two of the most technically advanced portable brake and suspension testing units in Australia.
Therefore brake testing and bus roadworthy tests are able to be conducted at members depots throughout Tasmania, providing appropriate facilities are available.
Currently there are 17 sites throughout Tasmania where vehicle testing is undertaken on a regular basis.
Levels of inspections provided by TBA Services Pty Ltd:
- Type 2: Periodic taxi, luxury hire cars and small passenger vehicles
- Type 3:Periodic large passenger vehicles
- Type 4:Heavy vehicle, heavy trailer, private buses, hire and drive vehicles (greater than 4.5 tonnes GVM/GTM).
Defect notices requesting brake testing which are nominated to be cleared by an authorised inspection station.
